Battle Of The Neutrals : The Hype Neutral Palettes Meybelline vs Sariayu

Hi dolls

Ever since UD releases their famous Naked palette, the other brands have been fight head over heels to match 'em. I personally doesn't have the real Naked Palette. I have too many eyeshadows to begin with. Afterall, my husband will kill me if i bought another high end brand that won't be finished in my own lifetime. Haha.

Nuff chit chat, so few weeks ago i came across this two rather affordable and easy to get "neutral" palettes. These are the twos.

Top : Sariayu Krakatau Eyeashadow Palette
Bottom : Maybelline The Nudes Palette

As we all know, Sariayu is a famous Indonesian brand. Meanwhile Maybelline is another famous drugstore American brand. They both have the same affordable yet good quality products. But since neutrals has been in the hype note in beauty world for quiet a bit now, let's talk about this two palettes instead.

Sariayu Krakatau Palette and Maybelline The Nudes Palette

First, Packaging.

Honestly i like Maybelline's packaging more. It's studier and the black color never go wrong in makeup industry. Make it look more exclusive and sleek. Meanwhile, Sariayu one is too weak and well, more breakable if you put it clumsy-ly inside yout unorganized bag (like myself, haha).

Second, Color Options.

Well, you can tell that Maybelline gave you more color options but less product amount, while Sariayu gave less options but larger amount. This is more about taste. Maybelline doesn't have that gorgeous dark blue color. Hmm, this is sucks. Gladly, i have them both. ^^

Third, Swatches.

Fourth, Texture.

Both share almost the same dried, powdery texture. But somehow it feels like Sariayu one is more dryer, just a teeny bit. Both need a good liquid eyeshadow base to work best. My suggestion is NYX HD Eyeshadow Primer and Etude House Proof 10 (discontinued).

Fifth, Price.

Shockingly, Sariayu Krakatau Palette cost IDR 165.000. For me, it's quiet pricey since it has little color options and not as good quality as their previos color trend ranges. And the Maybelline Nudes cost IDR 190.000ish and i bought 'em with 30% discount. So in price-matter, i prefer Maybelline's.

Conclusion

Product Quality (texture, color payoffs) : SAME

Packaging : Maybelline

Color Options : Maybelline

Price : Maybelline

Then you know that i will prefer Maybelline The Nudes Palette more than Sariayu Krakatau.

That's it for now guys. Those are all in my opinion anyway as an eyeshadow junkie that also in need of pocket therapy. Beauty doesn't have to be expensive. Just need a little tricks here and there. Be wise!

See you on another post!
